Mr. Shahmim K. Khattak (Kelly Lam) is a specialist in litigations. He has appeared before all levels of courts in Hong Kong, and is very experienced in jury trial. His caseload includes all kinds of criminal cases, especially dangerous drugs, corruption and bribery, sex crimes, and complex commercial cases of fraud and money laundering. In 2016, Kelly defended in a jury trial in which the prosecution accused the defendant of conspiring with others to launder about HKD7.2 billion.

He also accepts instructions in the civil field including matrimonial litigations, breach of contracts, and defamation cases.

Kelly has exposure to different facets of the criminal justice system by being a policeman and a deputy magistrate in his earlier years. In addition, Kelly has worked in the entertainment industry in Japan and acted as a column writer in Japanese media.

Kelly has zero barrier in conducting cases in both Chinese and English. He is fluent in Cantonese, English, Mandarin, and Japanese, and hence is absolutely accessible to clients with diverse backgrounds.
