He was a pupil of Mr. Derek Chan (Senior Counsel), Mr. Isaac Chan, Mr. Joseph Lee, and the late Ms. Yvonne Fong.

Conan is a recipient of the Hong Kong Bar Association Charles Ching Memorial Scholarship and six other scholarships at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

He is developing a broad practice, receiving instructions from both civil and criminal side, and is focusing predominantly on contractual and company disputes. He represents clients in a wide range of cases, on criminal matters such as money laundering and conspiracy to defraud, as well as civil matters such as competition, company, personal injury, medical negligence, and water seepage cases. 

Conan regularly appears in Court, both as a sole advocate and a led junior, and has appeared in all levels of courts. He has appeared in the Court of Final Appeal, Court of Appeal, High Court, District Court, Family Court, and Magistrates’ Court. He has also handled more than 30 cases in his first year of practice, most of which as sole advocate, and several of which are criminal trials. He has also represented clients in a number of high-value disputes.

He is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua. He is capable of providing written submissions and conducting hearings in both English and Chinese.
