Poon Chi Ming

Mr. Poon Chi Ming obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering in 1990 and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2003. In 1996, Mr. Poon Chi Ming was awarded the AT&T Asia-Pacific Marketing Award for achieving USD 100 million in sales. In 2009, Mr. Poon Chi Ming served as the National Vice President of Siemens China and concurrently as the General Manager of the South China Region, overseeing seven joint ventures and four major business divisions in Guangdong, with an annual total revenue of RMB 2.6 billion. During the same period, Mr. Poon Chi Ming was elected as a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Committee (CPPCC) of the Guangzhou City and received the Outstanding Proposal Award from the Guangzhou CPPCC twice. In addition, Mr. Poon Chi Ming was appointed as an economic advisor to the Guangzhou New Technology Development Zone, and elected as the Chairman of the Pearl River Delta Chapter of the EU Chamber of Commerce, and as the Director of the South China Chapter of the German Chamber of Commerce.

In 2012, Mr. Poon Chi Ming earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) in 2014. In 2015, Mr. Poon Chi Ming was admitted to practice as a barrister by the Hong Kong High Court and the Hong Kong Bar Association. In 2017, Mr. Poon Chi Ming was assigned as a FIAT Prosecutor by the Department of Justice; and in December 2024, Mr. Poon Chi Ming was appointed as a Deputy Magistrate by the Judiciary for a term of 3 months. Between 2016 and 2017, Mr. Poon Chi Ming received a Certificate of Commendation from the Home Affairs Bureau, and between 2018 and 2024, Mr. Poon Chi Ming has been recognized three times with Certificates of Commendation from the Chief Secretary for Administration in acknowledgment of my pro bono legal services. Mr. Poon Chi Ming has been serving as a member of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of the Sichuan Province since 2018 and the Legal Advisor to the Hong Kong Immigration Service Staff Association since 2022. 

Mr. Poon Chi Ming has served as a director of Yan Fook Theological Seminary since 2019, and was appointed by the Education Bureau as a School Manager in Pooi Tun Secondary School in 2026.
